1)   "What kind of tricks / magic do you do in regards to close up magic?"
When I perform close up magic in a drinks reception or around the tables, your guests will enjoy a wide range of magic and sleight of hand that will usually include the use of playing cards, ropes, rings, coins, keys and the occasional specially designed prop for good measure! I may also occasionally ask  to borrow an item from a guest, which will of course always be given back to its owner in its original good order!

2)  "What is your fee?"
For a quick quote all you need to do is supply the following 3 pieces of information:
1)  How long will you need me? (approx. start and finish times)

5)  "There will be children at our
party / event, is close up magic also
        suitable for them to enjoy?"

Absolutely! Close up magic is a very interactive form of entertainment that can be as visual and immediate or as deep and fascinating as is required at any given moment for any group of individuals. Entertainment that bridges any age gap!
6)   "Do you have public liability insurance?"
Most definitely! Close up magic is a very interactive form of entertainment that can be as visual and immediate or as deep and fascinating as is required at any given moment for any group of individuals. Entertainment that bridges any age gap!
It is very much the standard now for entertainers to have public liability insurance as required by most good venues. As a professional entertainer I have full public liability insurance, a copy of which is available upon request or it can also be viewed here:
7)   "What if we are having our party at home rather than at a hired venue?"
It really makes no difference, especially where close up magic is concerned as it is suitable for virtually any situation or environment. If you were looking for more of a "stage" performance then I might need to know the size of the room and what the layout will be on the night etc.
8)   "How long do you perform when you are booked to perform close up magic?"
6)   "Are you covered by public liability
insurance and how can I get a
        copy?"

Up to 2 hours for most events, such as a wedding, corporate dinner or fair sized party or special occasion.

Sometimes 3 hours for longer events with more guests attending and longer still for an all-day event where there is a continuous flow of people or a very large number expected.

For smaller more intimate parties around 90 minutes would likely be the maximum time required.
